Painting

Painting for me is about playing with color and form. I love exploring different media, be they watercolor or oil, or natural materials like leaves and grass. 

The challenge of painting for me is how to transform the 2-Dimensional plane into a 3-dimensional world. In painting, we are never able to escape the reality of the surface. The interplay of light, color, contrast and form, with texture and stroke gives the subject an other worldly quality. I love creating alternate atmospheres in color, where each sketch is a new exploration, and yields a new outcome.  

I love working on still life’s and landscapes, as well as using painting to simply study light, color, and form.
