Landscape Architecture and Site Development

I worked for the Office of Robert White, ORW, LLC in White River Junction Vermont from 2008-2011. While there, I had the wonderful opportunity to help project manage and lead the design development and construction management of many fine projects in the Vermont and New Hampshire region.

Each project was a unique collaboration with Bob White, Hillary Gregory, who focused on natural plantings, and the fabulous clients.

The projects are mostly representing municipal and educational facilities.

We focused on the integration of natural, durable materials, longevity of quality construction and detailing.

Each project is a unique reflection of siting, accessibility and vernacular architectural use of materials.

On of the most unique project is called Turntable Park, in Montpelier, Vermont. Its the site of an old railroad turntable that had been derelict for decades. After a remediation of contaminated soils, we created custom paths, lighting, and furniture to make the site welcoming and accessible. Keeping the old machinery in tact, we provided a new walkway across the turntable, while also adding a contemporary details and materials to a historic-industrial site.
